Netball players from Plympton Academy, along with their families and
friends, attended a netball celebration evening recently.

The event was to acknowledge the commitment and success of the players
and parents were also thanked for their continued support. The girls
were presented with their netball dresses, sponsored by The Computer
Cabin, and designed by Adam from Kit World.

“My mum, dad and two sisters came to celebrate my achievements in
Netball and loved it, especially because they were able to play some
netball and shoot some goals,” said student, Lucy Packer.

Once the presentations were over the parents versus staff friendly
netball match began.

“The game ended in a 3-3 draw,” said PE teacher, Kirsty Luke. “But I
saw exactly where the girls get their competitiveness, skill and
'hunger' from,” she said.

Student, Evie Saunders said: “My favourite part of the celebration
evening was watching
the teachers and parents play netball; I even got to play against my mum."
