Plympton Football Academy gets local business support

Players from the Football Academy with Richard Harvey (Football Academy Director), Jamie Hitchcock (J.A.H Electrical Services Ltd) and Andy Price (Plympton Academy Director of Sport).

New football kit has put some extra spring into the step of players from Plympton Academy.

The three football squads, who are part of the newly developed Football Academy based at the school, have been provided with new kit from a local business, J.A.H Electrical Services Ltd.

The high-quality playing kit had its debut in the Year 8 ESFA National Cup last month.

Richard Harvey, Football Academy Director at Plympton Academy, is pleased with the support. “You could see the moment the boys put the kit on they walked a bit taller. It is a really important part of the team’s identity, and to have such an outstanding kit makes that identity stronger. The boys are proud to wear the Plympton Academy badge”.

There are a number of exciting opportunities in the upcoming months for the Football Academy. The teams will be competing throughout the new year against a number of schools across Plymouth.

“We are a local company and we are very proud to sponsor the football teams from our local school. Our son currently attends Plympton Academy and Jamie is a former pupil and it’s great to be able to give something back.  It’s lovely to see the players looking so smart and enjoying the sport. We hope the new kit gives them that extra boost,” said Jamie and Angie Hitchcock of J.A.H. Electrical Services Ltd.
