More than 70 students from Plympton Academy took part in the annual Christmas card photography and art competition.

Open to the whole school, the criteria was to create a Christmas image, with the winning entry being used on the school Christmas card.

The Art department shortlisted the top five images and Principal, Lisa Boorman, made the final decision.

“I was so impressed with the entries and how creative our students are,” said Lisa Boorman. “In the end I couldn’t decide between two so I chose them both. The Christmas cards will be sent to local businesses and community groups.”

The winning entries, both photographs, were by Year 11 students Josie Connell and Jack Scantlebury.  They were awarded a certificate and school reward points as well as a chocolate selection box.
